Freelance Translators

Lucyol is always on the lookout for highly talented and specialized individuals to join our select network of freelance translators. We have built our success in the localization industry on specialization, and we accept only highly specialized and professional translators, who can meet the highest quality standards.

Although we specialize primarily in IT and Telecom, do not hesitate to register and offer your services in any other field in which you specialize.

To apply as a freelance translator for Lucyol, the following criteria are fundamental:

Native speakers (translators offering more than one target language are simply excluded from our selection process)
Flawless command of the target language (we are extremely demanding and we only accept perfection in this area)
Excellent command of the source language(s)
Proven expertise and background in your field(s) of specialization
Use of one or more translation memory tools, including Trados®
Unconditional commitment to quality and deadlines

As a second step, if your application meets the above criteria, and regardless of your experience, you will receive one or more translation tests to validate your registration in our database, depending on your working languages, fields of expertise and various information entered into the form. Consequently, please ONLY specify the areas you actually specialize in and in which you can meet the highest quality standards. Indeed, if your tests are rejected in one particular field, this may prevent you from working with us in other fields in which you are more specialized. Our Quality Assurance department will review your tests and decide whether or not to add your name to the database. Our selection process is very strict, because we work for very demanding customers.

This form is reserved for translators with freelance status or registered as a company. Residents of France must be registered with their URSSAF (or RCS). For all other job applications (full-time employee, temp, trainee), click here.
