Lucyol is always looking for talent. We have built our success in the localization industry on specialization. We accept only highly specialized and professional translators, who can meet the highest quality standards.

To apply for a translator position at Lucyol or as a freelancer, the following criteria are fundamental:

Native speakers (translators offering more than one target language are simply excluded from our selection process)
Flawless command of the target language (we are extremely demanding and we only accept perfection in this area)
Excellent command of the source language(s)
Proven expertise and background in your field(s) of specialization
Excellent command of one or more translation memory tools, including Trados®
Unconditional commitment to quality and deadlines

However, please note that - unlike most translation agencies - we do NOT require specific university degrees in translation. More important are your experience, your specialization, and the results of the tests you will receive in your specialist field(s).

Furthermore, our selection process does NOT take into account any membership of professional organizations (such as ATA and similar translators associations), which many translators put forward as a kind of "quality label". Such memberships are acquired by paying an annual fee and are in no way synonymous with quality.
