Desktop Publishing

Our in-house, multilingual desktop publishing (DTP) department has the expertise to handle all art and DTP requirements for your projects, ensuring that the translation is consistent with both the industry's typography standards and your own layout specifications.

Whenever possible, we use the TRADOS� translation memory and conversion tools, which help achieving consistency with the source documents and significantly reduce the DTP work on the translated documents, hence saving time and money for our customers. We also work to ensure that print issues are anticipated and identified before the DTP stage.

Our DTP expertise includes the following:

Checking page layout against the original
Designing page layout when the source file is not available
Localizing graphics and images
Capturing and editing screenshots and images
Generating tables of contents and indices
Creating and arranging flowcharts or graphics
Generating PDF files

Lucyol offers DTP services on both PC and Mac platforms, in most European languages and on the major graphics and desktop-publishing applications, including:

A final quality check is always performed, guaranteeing compliance with various standards, guidelines, conventions, and, where applicable, the client's style guide. We can also provide customers with multiple outputs from a single translated document (for example a low-resolution PDF and a high-resolution PDF).
